Biography

On Mother's Day, May 8, 1949, Taleah was born in Salisbury North Carolina to Oscar and Bertha Cress. She has an older sister by the name of Judy Ann. By the time she was three, her family moved to the Washington Metropolitan area. She can never remember a time in her life where she didn't draw or own a camera. When she was eighteen, Taleah ventured out on her own and moved to San Francisco, California. After tromping around for a few years, experiencing life in its various forms, she settled in Monterey, California, and unofficially calls Monterey her home. As a self-taught portrait artist, she quickly embraced the art world and made a handsome living at her craft. Her heart's desire was to go to art college, but marriage changed those plans. She and her husband (now deceased) raised two beautiful children. Michelle and Duwayne. Years later, still embracing her dream to go to art school, returned to the east coast to accomplish that dream. In 2005 she graduated with honors at the Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. In 2006 Taleah took her art skills to the next level and established T3 Design Studios, where she incorporates her skills as a portrait artist and/or photographer for the many satisfied clients she has had over the years. In 2008, Taleah moved back to California, bringing T3 with her. Today T3 Design Studios and Taleah reside in the Sacramento, CA area where she enjoys the freedom of expression through her artisan skills.
